1. Factory-Applied, by Definition

This is 'factory-applied' in the strongest sense - the coating and the steel are one manufactured product, not a steel plate later painted.

Can a GFS panel be recoated on site if damaged?

Local repair of a fused enamel surface in the field is limited and cannot reproduce the original furnace bond. Small defects are assessed against the holiday-spark standard, and where repair is possible it uses a specified material and method - but the correct approach is to plan penetrations and avoid field cutting, since a cut panel cannot be restored to the original fusion quality.

Is the joint sealant considered field-applied coating?
